Useless Medical Aid

On the 21st of April at 03h15 in the morning, I went to Hospital, I was in horrible pain, and was very ill. I'm on the Discovery Smart Plan which only covers me for emergencies. If you go to the Hospital on a Sunday morning with pain should it not be considered as an emergency? Why would anyone rather go to the hospital than be home on a Sunday? I sat an waited to see a Doctor for over an hour. While waiting I drank 3 Myprodols (Which is not recommended I know, but what would you do in pain?) Finally at 04h20 a sister gave me something for pain. She asked me how bad the pain was I told her that I already drank pills the pain is feeling better, but I'm still nauseous, I could not pull my pants over my stomach and something is very wrong. I was asked to urinate in a cup, the blood was sooo bad that they asked me if I'm on my period. I told the sister that I'm not, I'm urinating blood clots, this was not just a normal UTI. If I had a UTI I would have treated myself with Citro Soda and Cranberry Juice at home. When the Doctor saw me he did not introduce himself, he only raised his eyebrow to me, I asked him if he was the Doctor, then explained to him, he said he wasn't sure what is wrong but suspects Balasia, I told him I have not been close to any fresh water for at least 6 months. I've had it before, this was something else, there was just too much blood. I finished the last of the antibiotics on Saturday and I'm still not even better. Discovery is making me pay for everything, they are not covering the R1000.00 that I had to pay to the Hospital before seeing a Doctor, they are not paying what was billed to the Hospital R912.35 and also not paying for the prescribed medication of R1200.00 nor the blood test of R1074.10, so for what Glynwood Hospital and Discovery claims was only a UTI is a total of R4186.45??? Citro Soda is R57.00 for a small bottle at Pick&Pay. I could have bought that if it was the case. I did not have just a UTI! This was an emergency. I pay every month for something that is useless. I'm done with Discovery, I have also asked my mother to change from Discovery, I'm busy looking for other quotes for her, I'm also convincing my brother to leave Discovery, and telling everyone I know who is with them to rather change. I can get a new medical aid that covers me more for only R300.00 additional per month with another company. I will not recommend them to anyone.
