Useless Medical Aid

<p>After being a loyal client of Discovery Medical Aid for over 10 years I expected better! I was recently retrenched from my work and therefore had to stop my medical aid in April. After recently being employed again I wanted to restart my medical aid. Not only did I loose All the Vitality benefits I built up over the years but also was told that should I join I can not claim on any chronic illness benefits for 12 months! What is the use of having medical aid then? Not only must I pay the monthly premium of R1872/m for a year but also can only claim for minor ailments. As the person I spoke to put it. I can claim for flu. So tell me again what am I paying for??? </p>
