Useless Discovery Health

<p>What is the difference between cancer patients and infertile patients.</p> <p>According to all medical aids from South Africa, they cover/assist cancer patients or even patients with a chronic illness or disease. Howcome they won't assist patients struggling with infertility????</p> <p>What makes our disease so bad that they don't what to assist in any kind of way.</p> <p>I have been struggling with infertility since 2013 and no that we want to try our last option to conceive a baby through IVF procedure, medical aid tells us in a laughing manner; "we don't cover infertility". Since 2013 we have been paying for all tests, specialists appointments and procedures out of our own pocket. Not even the 7k Discovery Health gives us as a saving daily benefits every year could help with what we went throug in our journey. All they said is "sorry we don't cover infertility" and then we paid it ourselves. THANKS DISCOVERY!!! For ********** <p>We pay over 5k every single month to be a member of Discovery Health and I am sorry, but why am I paying this amount and they can't even give me a single chance to overcome infertility. </p> <p>Other South African medical aids have helped their members in paying a partial amount for IVF procedure since it the cost for IVF is so huge. I mean who has 60k lying around for one session of IVF?</p> <p>If other medical aids assist their members in this why the HELL can't Discovery Health do the same.</p> <p>I always thought they are the best medical aid since we joined them in 2008. But clearly I was wrong.</p> <p>So if you were to ask me why I am giving Discovery Health a useless rating, it's purely because of the fact that they are.</p> <p>If there is any couples/families out there struggling with infertility like we are. Good luck in your journey and if you are with Discovery Health and you are thinking of doing extra procedures to help you with your goal of conceiving throught the help of Discovery Healt?
