Used to be the best - but now the absolute pits!

Discovery used to be the best medical aid, however it ever since I fell pregnant I’ve come to realise that Discovery Health is the biggest ****! They pay for basically nothing. They do not cover consultations 100%, they insist that you go to specialists that cost over R3000 but then only give back R1000, they don’t cover ANY pregnancy vitamins that are essential to a healthy pregnancy out of the maternity benefit, they don’t cover the gestational diabetes test that you are required to have out of the maternity visit, they don’t cover pregnancy friendly chronic medication in full, they only “cover” 8 visits for your pregnancy even though you are technically pregnant for 10 months and near the end have to go twice a month which means you will have to pay out of pocket. Discovery when did you loose your way and stop caring for the people that pay you thousands every single month to get subpar benefits and even worse service! Do you realise that without us, you wouldn’t even exist?!? You have taken the joys out of pregnancy and made expectant mothers worry about what else Discovery won’t be paying for throughout their pregnancy! Do better because as this rate the NHI might even be better
