Urgent: Delay in Chronic Medication Approval for HIV Treatment during Pregnancy

Dear Discovery Health Team,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the Chronic Department regarding the delay in approving my HIV treatment. Despite numerous attempts, multiple emails, and conversations with various case managers, I have yet to receive approval for my chronic medication. This delay is particularly concerning given my pregnancy, and I am now 12 weeks pregnant.

I have diligently emailed all required documents and spoken to several case managers, but unfortunately, no one has been able to assist me in getting my treatment approved. I have also reached out to Lindiwe Innocentia via direct email, who assured me she would call back within 15 minutes. That took hours , and I have yet to hear from her.

As a pregnant woman, it is crucial that I start my HIV treatment urgently to ensure the health and well-being of both myself and my unborn child. The delay in approving my treatment is not only frustrating but also poses a significant risk to my health.

I kindly request that you expedite my application and provide me with a clear timeline for approval. I would appreciate it if someone could also provide me with regular updates on the status of my application.
