Upgrade

I phoned earlier in the month to change my medical aid plan. I am currently on Discovery and my life partner is on Discovery as well. All I want to do is move to their Medical Aid. Why on earth can you only "upgrade" once a year on a specific date. I dont understand this and then the consultant told me you can "upgrade" quicker if you get married. Why why why? Why do you make it so difficult for people to be on medical aid. You are not only forcing me to find alternative medical aid but I am taking my life partner with me. Come on guys. Give beter assistance to your clients.
