Unpaid medical bill.

I fell and dislocated my shoulder. Then went to private helthcare facility for treatment. They did not even wasted a second, immediately they took me to their trauma center attended me with immediate effect while my wife open a file at reception. Few minutes I will say less than an hour, they took me to do CT scan(x-ray) everyone gentle and humbled. I felt so been in good hands from the minute I walked in and when I left the same day. Now I received a message that my medical aid company does not want to pay for my treatment at the hospital I must pay from my pocket. I called them to make enquiries guess what, we will not pay because you were out patient, you did not sleep or admitted. I am talking been their member from the year 2000.never skipped payment/ monthly contributions. I really thought I am in good hands with discovery health. I thought peace of mind not a myth. Belive peace of mind is a **** abd a myth at the sametime. Today I am having serious doubts, if they fail to pay only R3,000 for shoulder dislocation treatment. Will they pay for my life cover worth so much millions to my beneficiary if I die. I mean the evidence and facts speaks for themselves. Accidents does not happen because we like them. And many of us take out medical aid cover incase it happens I get proper help. So now with discovery health cover. I should have went to goverment hospital where I could have diet waiting in long cue. If am attended I could walked with a permanent disabilities and still in pain.I am sorry public health care facilities we all know how difficult is for you to treat all your patients immediately more my nearby hospital, I lost my nephew there waiting for treatment and there is many who had lost their life. Now look at it these way, you practice good citizenship of these country, people like discovery health push you to be a corrup citizen. If I did knew that they will not pay as I am not admitted meaning sleep over, I should have asked the doctor to book me in over nights in the name of keeping him for observations while they know he will be fine after the hours of treatment. Discovery health they wanted me and the hospital to engage in *******ions activities. Again will they pay more that R3,000 as it was going to be more should the need be? You answer. I am really disappointed by a big medical aid company of discovery healrh caliber. My monthly contributions is R3,000, the claim is R2,900 and they cannot even pay a cent. Come on discovery health you can do much better than these. My calculations is 74k since I have the option, never claimed a cent, today when I need you the most, you turn your back on me, not only an ordinary member, a loyal member with 5 polices with you. These is so sad as I am in the same position with millions of South African who cannot afford mecical aid and even worse as I owe the hospital R3,000 while I am fully contributing for my medical aid on a monthly basis . Sad sad sad.
