Unpaid Claim - Maternity Benefit????????

I submitted a claim to discovery for antennal classes that were done, I am told it is part of my maternity benefits however they are now refusing to pay for this. Reason being that they can only refund me if its a registered nurse and not a Doctor. Discovery's maternity benefits are a joke to be honest. Their scheme rate for an Antennal consult doesn't even cover the cost for a GP, they take the rest from your savings, you end up paying all your maternity costs from your savings and if you don't have savings their maternity benefit is basically useless. They pretend to give you peace of mind but that's not the case. I am basically told that I cannot get classes from a qualified doctor but rather a nurse. Because going to a doctor for antenatal classes is just as good as going to someone that has no medical qualifications according to discovery! It's absolute nonsense, and I had to call to find out why they are not paying me and sent 3 emails because if they don't pay you they don't call you. They just ignore your claim. Its shocking how I had to chase up with discovery regarding this and they couldn't even send me an email or message me. I had to be the one to constantly follow up.

I have a life policy and medical aid with discovery and was looking into insurance as well. I am definitely going to look at other service providers. I will not be adding my new born to this medical aid!!
