Unobtainable request to join Discovery Health

I app**** to join Discovery Health. Had the most wonderful consultant assisting me. All sorted and I was cleared to join but needed to submit some documentation. No problem but for the request of medical records from 18 years ago. Who still has access to records from 18 years ago? The doctor who had those records has also since passed away. I informed Discovery of this unobtainable request and suggested that as I can't supply them with the requested records, it would seem that the best option would be to cancel my application. Their response? Fine. No acknowledgement of the impossibility of requesting 18 year old records. Just as an aside, the records that were requested were for a condition that was diagnosed in 2007 and for which I have received no treatment or intervention. Very disappointed that there was no allowance for something that clearly could not be achieved.
