Unlimited actually means completely limited

I have recently been informed that the "unlimmited" benefit that kicks in after you pay more than R 10 000.00 in self-payment gap fees is actually not unlimited at all within the classic comprehensive plan. The reason I joined this specific plan is that I suffer a psychiatric illness that has been completely debilitating in the past, of which Discovery has known about since the beginning, as I was already a patient when it started in 2013. It is a chronic illness that needs constant treatment in order to have a normal life in which one is a functioning member of society. Past years and recommendations from my healthcare professionals have proved how beneficial the treatment has been for me. In previous years I have not battled excessively to get through my treatments till the end of the year, but this year has been a complete nightmare. The anxiety that this has caused me is likely to be detrimental to my ongoing recovery, not to mention that I can't go for treatment anymore because I'm broke from paying the excessive Discovery fees. They won't even pay for my medication even though there is more than R 25 000.00 in my prescribed medicine benefit for the rest of the year. If anyone knows of a better medical aid that actually looks after it's chronically ill patients please let me know in the comments. Discovery has really become a bunch of money-hungry, apathetic robots. Disgusting
