Unfairly terminates membership

I want to warn everyone never ever to sign up with Discovery Health. I signed up and after a few months a small 4mm flat faint bruise on my arm turned dark red and raised. This has NEVER happened before and I've never seen a doctor about it or had it diagnosed as it was so insignificant with no symptoms. GP wants to send me to dermatologist and writes a letter stating the above. A week later I get a phone call from Charlotte Gxowa from Discovery to inform me that my membership, together with both my children's, will be immediately terminated due to non-disclosure of the small 4mm flat faint bruise on my arm. Not once did it cross my mind that Discovery wants you to mention every birth mark, beauty spot and mole on your body before signing up (if they do, why not just say it?). All the questions on the application form was answered truthfully. I could not possibly have known that this small dot of a bruise would change colour. It has still not been diagnosed (haven't seen dermatologist) and has since gone back to being flat and faint in colour, almost completely gone. Next Discovery pays me back all the money I've paid over 4 months minus the claims. After this I received a bill of more than half of the paid out amount that I have to pay BACK within 30 days. They have stepped way over the line with me. It seems the Ombudsman is the only option they leave me. I'm utterly disgusted and this after being a member previously for over 12 years.

Do not even consider Discovery as an option, they will find a way to cheat you.
