Unfair, unpaid claims

Discovery Health does not care for their members... I am a single mom working to provide for my son and my two elderly parents. I have medical aid not because its something I can afford but its a sacrifice I felt needed to be made. Unfortunately to my dismay I did not know that I would live to regret it. I was admitted to Melomed Hospital Tokai on the 23rd of August, I was vomiting blood and was in excruciating pain. The admission was authorised by discovery, I went to theatre to do a scope the anaesthesia and procedure was authorised by discovery. I was discharged 3 days later and the only mention of bill was that my medication is not covered by the scheme, which I was totally fine with. I was discharged on the 26th August 2019. Then on the 3rd of September I got emails and text messages advising me that the individual authorisations was declined, please bear in mind this was after the fact. So imagine getting 3 individual bills on for the procedure, one for the anaesthesia and then ultimately one for just being in hospital. I called Discovery to query this as I could not understand having medical aid and hospital benefits which by the way I was advised all in hospital procedures are covered and yet now being in hospital is not even covered. I was advised that they checked and its not there fault its something I need t sort out with the hospital and individual practices. What a service for such a large medical aid company. I need help please because I cannot afford this bill and I dont think Its fare that I get stuck with it when I was not fore warned. Is there anyone that can give me advise or help please.
