********* , misleading Information

What an unpleasant pregnancy journey with Discovery. As a client I'm highly dissatisfied at choosing Discovery as my Medical Aid. After paying a huge amount of monthly installments to them & they cover almost nothing. They also give misleading & false information.

It is certainly also not a priority to them to come back after querying why they give misleading information. Before we chose our health care providers for the pregnancy I wanted to make sure how I am covered to set up a budget & not adding extra stress on this journey. My midwife is covered 200% and her rate is 350% in & out of hospital. I also queried about my gynecologist which they said is covered fully in & out of hospital , with the agreement we pay upfront & claim back. Otherwise I wouldn't have chosen this specific provider.

After making the full upfront payment & trying to claim back they paid not even half of the consultation after we have confirmed that it should be fully covered.

We have logged a call (***) which had a leading time of 4 days. After around 10 days still no feedback, and we as clients had to call them once again. 2 days has passed again & still no feedback.

I am very frustrated because I feel they are *********. Not to mention all the bills of blood tests etc we already had to pay. How are you supposed to budget with Discovery? Are my birth covered with authorization as they claimed , or am I going to end up with more bills?

This is not the way you should treat your clients Discovery.

What are we actually paying for each month? Might as well get a hospital plan.
