********* and disgusting attitude
Once again Discovery health have proven that they are just as bad if not worse than any of the other health insurers out there - a wolf in sheep's clothing is an apt description. Your handling of payments regarding the birth of our son is nothing short of ********* and just disgusting.

How can you expect a co-payment on a non-network hospital for a child who is born prematurely and needs to be admitted immediately after birth. We already paid the co-payment for my wife being admitted for the birth but to expect a copayment for admitting our child when we have no choice is disgusting and *********. You're making money out of people being in a difficult situation. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Looking forward to cancelling our family's health policy, mine and my wife's life insurance policies, our investment policy, our home insurance and our car insurance policies. Congratulations on losing another (ex) loyal customer!
Thank you for your comment.
When a member selects the Delta range of plans, they are required to make use of our Delta network of hospitals in order to avoid a deductible being app****. This deductible is payable when a member uses a non-delta facility for a planned admission. Based on your particular case, the authorization for the birth was obtained before the birth took place and is seen as a planned procedure. The deductible applies per admission which is why this was also app**** to your son's hospital bill.
We confirmed that we have discussed alternative options with you and will be in contact as soon as this has been finalised.
We're sorry that we could not provide you with a more favourable outcome.

Annelize
