Unbelievably client service from Barney Oosthuizen from Authorisation dept

As a client and a consumer I would like to share my personal experience of yesterday th 03 October 2023.

Over the last 3 years my life change in a Total 360./. Overnight . Initial it started with a home invasion.challenges. Directly from that I i heave had many medical challenges . . Physically and Mentally .”‘memory “impaired “ One of the things were the vision in y rig guy eye . Although I had 4 operations trying to restore sight . With no positive out come .

I was warned last year a my surgeon should I see any evidence of my left eye have any vision change. To immediately be in contact . That recently ( week ) happened . Yesterday I received a message from the practice Manager stating the the Doctor is s aOn a conference until 16 th this month . But that I should be seen by another surgeon . I became overwhelmed and stated to seek help . Being mentally damage due to the home invation. I’m called discovery. But the prompt or is not that Specfic in certain direction that on would be able to EASILY speak to a Real life persons . That being said I phone Authorisation . The call was answered by an agent called Barney Oosthuizen . After explaining my Emergency . Plus trying to find the preferred medical service providers of Discovery . Mr Oosthuizen , realised that I was extremely stress. The assured me that he is there for me .

Although it’s not his department function to provide theses list . He will try and call a few surgeons seeking an urgency appoint with a the next 2-3 hours . He actuated extremely professionals aswell being very patient with me . Barney kept re Assuring me , that he will come back to me with in 5-10 min. The call was ended . And a a matter of minutes Barney called as promised. I spoke to him around 12,49 am yesterday . And he had reached out and found a surgeon with in my area . That could see me 2 hours later . . I went to the surgeon practice had several scans . And by 4 pm the Doctor performed a laser procedure to close up the tear with the eye ball .

Where by liquid from the eyeball was seeping out . It would like to praise Barney for the unbelievable quick , and throw again he took to assist me . It’s not hat often that one finds a special person who can show empathy . And go beyond the call of his duties for a total stranger . At the same time I must thank Discover health . . May Barney himself plus directly reporting manager be in formed . To how grateful I’m for an exceptional service I received .

I have be true to myself and Can’t , rate Barney anything less that a 10/10
