TREATMENT FOR SEIZURES FOR MY 8 YEAR OLD SON - DECLINED!

I am one of the biggest advocates as far as discovery is concerned up till now. I have numerous products with them with very few if any issues over the past 13 years. My son had issues from Birth (2011) which were treated and covered. In 2018 he was diagnosed with Epilepsy which the medical add has been amazing with, June 2020 we had an appointment with our Neurologist whom advised that there was a regression in his seizures and we were virtually back at day one again. He has proved to be medically refractory and that we need to explore other options. OUr specialist dietitian did an application which was declined and we appeal this has been going on since June!!!!!!! TODAY i call to be told the file is closed and that we did not motivate enough as to why he needed this even after motivation from myself, the neurologist and our dietitian, firstly 1 have been doing the follow ups over the last 3 weeks have not had ANY feedback from Discovery at all. not even a letter declining such. it begs the question as to what Discovery's vetting system is regarding PMB and Chronic cover. surely they would want to explore a solution for my sons health number 1 and number 2 to perhaps save on the medications that he could perhaps be taken off!!!!! i am hugely disappointed and will be taking the matter as far as i possibly can - this is what i pay medical aid for the care and therapy needed when it is needed!
