Tired of Being Bul**** by Discovery Health

<p>It is amazing with what Medical Aid companies can get away with these days. The law clearly states that a Medical Aid has to pay for a claim if pre-authorization was granted. This app**** regardless of the rules of the medical aid. Yet Discovery has refused to pay a pre-authorized treatment. I phoned Discovery beforehand to make sure in-hospital physiotherapy is covered. They lady I spoke with said it is, provided that the treatment is related to the hospitalization. This was the case. When the invoice came Discovery refused to pay and left me in a heap of debt. The service provider was helpful and tried different tariff codes. That didn’t work either. Never thought Discovery can play dirty and bully people like this.</p> <p> </p>
