THEY LIE WHEN THEY SAY THEY CARE!

Discovery is not as amazing as you would thin**** I am making it my mission to inform others of the disregard and lack of individual assistance and empathy!

I am on the Essential Delta Saver Plan and the plan forms part of the Network Hospital system. One of the important aspects of my plan is that my plan covers for a Neurologist and Epilepsy. Luckily for us, Netcare Clinton Hospital is part of my network hospitals and is close to home. What they don't show or explain that if there is a Neurologist at Clinton when you sign up, they have the choice to leave the network hospital system when they want.

When my wife had to get a new Neurologist according to our plan, the website indicated that Clinton hospital did not have a neurologist available to our plan. My wife found a Neurologist at Malbarton hospital and went for her first test of which we paid R2000. The doctor wants my wife to do a 4 day test series on my wife, which will cost R8400.

The doctor sent a motivation letter to discovery to explain that we do not have a doctor at Clinton available for our plan, but there is one at Malbarton. They declined the letter the next day, saying that the need a diagnoses to approve the motivation. The doctor explained that diagnoses cannot be given because THEY HAVE NOT DONE THE TESTS YET!!!! I am canceling my medical aid and life insurance with discovery!!!!!
