If I could give -5 stars I would. I started looking into moving medical aids in March 2025. A lady called me the day after I enquired online and did her sales pitch extremely well. She sent me all the paperwork to fill in and it was just wonderful. She then told me that I will not have a waiting period as I have been on a medical aid for years. Oh boy, was she wrong, to my surprise I found out after I went to the doctor for being ill, I have to pay the fees as it turns out I have a waiting period of 3 months. This information was not relayed to me in any part of my application. I am very disappointed in the service from Discovery. I now understand why their rating is so low. Their service is horrific! If I had know about this, I would've stayed with my previous medical aid and never moved over! Please get competent staff to do the sales so that all of the information is available from the get go and that customers don't find out after being sick, that they have to pay extra.
