The vitality point system and Personal Health Fitness Goals don't work.
The vitality point system and Personal Health Fitness Goals are absolute trash because they don't work.
I managed to get a 12 week streak (by logging support requests every single week with screenshots of my Google Fit as proof of steps).
After 12 weeks I still somehow failed the PHP goal of "Get 10 weeks in a row". I think it only logged 7 of them max before saying I failed (with an apparent deadline of December 9999. So much for that).
I have now lost my streak and when I tried logging another support request via their WhatsApp support chat the lady told me that I "Can't log my steps in MyFitnessPal as it is not a supported app". When I pointed out that MFP is just a calorie tracker and I only log my steps in Google Fit (again with screenshots as proof) she was completely dismissive reiterating her false statement about MFP.
Most of the time my Strava data awards me zero points. Managed a 5km run in 40 min? Zero points. Managed a 10km run in an hour? Zero points. Did a HIIT workout for an hour? Zero points. Went bouldering for 2 hours? Zero points.
The reason the step counter and Strava are so important to me is because I don't have a watch and don't go to Virgin Active. Instead I go to other gyms that aren't affiliated with Vitality, so just walking into a gym nets me zero points.
I have always had issues with all of the bugs in Discovery's various systems (except banking, I guess, seems to work for the most part) and am frankly quite sick of it.
I play by Discovery's rules and still get nothing for it. I was planning on getting a Garmin watch (which is why I have been working so hard at the Vitality points to get a better discount via Discovery), but now I couldn't be bothered as it likely won't work anyway, because at the end of the day Discovery is useless when it comes to tech, doesn't work, and it will result in me having to log more support tickets which I am frankly fed up with doing.
