The fight for life saving chronic medication to be approved .

Chronic serious health condition diagnosed. Beware! Battle the non approval for your life saving medication . I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension, and heart failure. I thought I was in hospital for the treatment of my big toe, which had to undergo debrinement as it went black (died) from a lack of blood circulation and also deprived of oxygen.

My lung pressure is 3x what the normal should be. Since my diagnosis, 2 weeks ago, it's been backwards and forwards between the Doctor's rooms and Discovery chronic benefits/approval department. All the necessary tests, information, diagnosis, heart sonar, lung function test, etc......has already been submitted, but this seems not to be sufficient as my meds have still not been approved Excuse after excuse. Discovery again requesting tests that have already been done. Apparently I need to run on a tread mill for 6 mins. This is impossible at the moment with the serious injury to my right foot. Photo evidence of my bandaged foot has been sent to them. Two weeks have passed and the most crucial medication I require to improve my health and quality of life has been withheld from me. Without this medication I may not heal as I should. I may indirectly loose my toe because until my condition improves, I am still as risk . There is enough stress dealing with my diagnosis. Adjusting to being permanently on oxygen. I really should not be fighting to get approval for life saving medications. This is a life and death situation. I'm physically and mentally exhausted.
