Thank you Discovery!

I have only been a member since April 2019, in my student days I was a member for maybe a year until I left SA for 'greener pastures', and then during that time I thought it wise to be a member of another medical aid (because you still need medical aid cover for the times you return on holiday). This medical aid gave me endless problems, I have both Bipolar and Epilepsy, both PMB conditions. At first I had no problems, they paid for hospitalization etc, but then it became more of a fight and by the start of this year I was more stressed out because of the medical aid than my Bipolar. My GP, psychologist AND psychiatrist gave a few options but all of them said I would have the least of problems from Discovery. And they were correct. Yes, to start off at a new medical aid after being with the previous one for almost 10 years seemed like a daunting task - the forms, applications, and hoping I'll get my PMB approved along with the meds. The waiting period is over and I am now 'officially' covered. My PMB 'hiccups' are sorted, and today I was actually called by Discovery to set my mind at ease and keep me updated with everything that is happening on the PMB-front, this after I sent them an e-mail with some concerns. I know each and every company has their faults, mistakes and are not perfect. But today you calmed my nerves, and reassured me that I made the right decision. THANK YOU Discovery for not making me feel like a number, even though you have such a huge client base. Alistaire Jacobs, you are an asset to Discovery!
