Termination of membership

<p>I joined medical aid on the 01/06/16 then went to the gynae on the 17/06/16 that is when the gynae discovered a growth which had to be removed but only surgical. An operation was then scheduled for the 12/07/16 but first a PMA FORM had to be filled in by the gynae which was done and then sent back to Discovery. On the 12/07/16 Rosanna Kinloch called me missed her call then called back whereby I was advised my admission was declined then I asked why she informed me of non disclosure I then advised I cannot understand as everything was disclosed on the application form. She then told me that Discovery's medical doctor will be in at 11 and that my PMA form will be reviewed then she will get back to me but she also said that my membership will be cancelled. After 12 on the 12/07/16 Rosanna Kinloch advised my medical aid has been cancelled because I did not indicate on my application form of "excessive bleeding" I then told her but there is no where on the application that it asks about excessive bleeding or any wording like that. Rosanna Kinloch then insisted but there is. I then went through my application form and the only wording or question asked is about "abnormal pap smear, abnormal menstrual bleeding, miscarriage etc" but no where it states about "excessive bleeding" but all Rosanna Kinloch pointed out was "excessive bleeding". Rosanna Kinloch - RISK REVIEWER ASSOCIATE SPECIALIST--for a specialist you should know what questions or wording is stipulated on Discovery application form.An email was sent on the 13/07/16 to Rosanna Kinloch where I was advised to send an email to ********** an automated email was sent back with the reference number and then another email I received whereby it states there is no standard turn around time for appeals but to think my medical aid was cancelled within a couple of minutes. All I can say is that all questions asked on the application form was answered as any person on the street knows when filling in an application form, you need to disclose any information that is asks. My medical aid was cancelled because of a wording that does appear on the application form. Rosanna Kinloch also advised on the PMA form of the doctor it states of "excessive bleeding" the wording on your application form states of abnormal and not excessive.</p>
