Taking funds from Saving to pay Dr while booked in hospital

I was in hospital for shoulder surgery on the 26th and 27th June. I received a bill from Nureesah Hendricks Physiotherapy for 27th which was not paid by Discovery because Discovery tried to claim the funds from my savings and not the scheme. I was in hospital not sure why are they trying to claim from my savings? I have called and emailed numerous times and no one at Discovery can assist - WHY!!!???
