Takes your money but doesn't cover anything

I was on the Smart Classic plan with my partner and son. Over R6000 per month. Almost nothing was covered. We were with them from January until March and had to pay thousands of rands out of pocket because xy and z were not covered. Even my hospital visit was not covered because I was admitted to the trauma room and not to the main hospital. How is this ethical?
