TAKEN TO CREDIT BUREAU FOR NO REASON

I am an extremely angry client.

I terminated my Discovery health membership at the end of August 2015 and Discovery told me I'd have a debt of R2280 upon termination which I acknowledged and agreed to pay. I requested Discovery if I could pay then and they said not yet, I would have to wait until discovery reconciled my account and sent me the bill first because If I paid before the reconciliation, discovery would recognise the payment as a credit to my account and pay it back.

All my correspondences with Discovery were via email and text, that's the method of communication I chose. I waited for the bill and nothing came. Not via email or text. Nothing. I followed up via telephone and was told to wait for the bill. Still, nothing came. I eventually forgot about it.

Last week I app**** for car finance and was declined by all the banks, including my own. I checked with Transunion for my credit report and to my horror, Discovery had listed that debt as a default, meanwhile I have NEVER received any correspondence with regards to this. I am appalled. I am undeserving of this treatment. It is uncalled for and very unfair. I feel I have been treated in the poorest of ways.
