STAY AWAY FROM DISCOVERY VITALITY- THEY WILL FIND ANY LOOP HOLE TO GET OUT OF GIVING YOU THE SO CALLED DISCOUNT THEY PROMISE!!!

I recently purchased a pair of shoes from Total Sports, when I got to the till I informed the cashier that I needed to find my healthy gear number as since joining Vitality in November 2019 I have never received a healthy gear card. The cashier quickly reassured me that there was no need for the healthy gear number, that the vitality number would do. I gave her the Vitality number, paid with my Discovery bank card and off I went. When the month ended I noticed Vitality had not paid out the discount, I therefore found it necessary to email the slip, which clearly indicates how and where I purchased the shoes, only to receive an email back stating they would not give me the discount as I used the incorrect number. This is absolutely pathetic, apart from Discovery Vitality not informing their partners of which numbers are accepted and which are not, to find such a small error an excuse to not pay their customers their well deserved discount is absurd! This is clearly something Vitality do on a regular basis as there are numerous complaints on hellopeter pertaining to the same matter! I will begin the process of cancelling my Vitality tomorrow (Which according to the reviews on hellopeter, seems near to impossible too) as well closing my Discovery bank account and looking for a new medical aid provider! I am DONE with Discovery!
