Slow response for Auth Codes

My wife's surgery is scheduled for today and she is supposed to be admitted at 11:30. It is 11:30 right now... and I am awaiting auth codes which was submitted on Friday. In my numerous calls to discovery since Friday and today I have advised them the procedure is for Monday 16th November. I am just advised to wait as they work on a specific turn around time for non emergency procedures. Surely there has to be a fast track process for instances like this. The surgeon only had a slot open for today as he is fully booked for this year.
