SHOCKING: Needing to go to a goverment hospital for Cancer surgery yet on Discoverty key Car plan

I pay for my uncles medical aid and he was recently diagnosed with throat cancer. He is on the Key Care plan. He requires lazer surgery to remove the cancer. There is only 1 doctor in the western cape that performs the surgery he needs however this doctor is not on the network of doctors for the key car plan and doesn't operate at the key care plan hospitals. My uncle is now going to Tygerburg hospital (a government hospital) and being operated on a doctor that is not specialized in the area of performing the surgery that is required. How can this be acceptable!!!! Why pay for a medical aid that when you need the services the turn their shoulder? Surely Discovery needs to come up with a solution or make an exception if they are not servicing all medical conditions? My father who is the referring GP has contacted Discovery Medical aid many times but with no success. The referring specialist who did the biopsy has competed the motivational form for another specialist to do the operation but yet Discovery Medical aid has not responded in any way or offered any assistance to date. What more must one do to get the correct medical treatment especially when you are a paying medical aid customer? When do cases get elevated to senior managers when issues are not being sorted out? Surely this should be the protocol to follow? Discovery... I am expecting a response with a solution SOONEST! I will not settle for my uncle going to a government hospital especially when I am paying!!!
