The question remains, do discovery health care about lives? No, they don't. Taking into consideration the time period it takes to get authorization is ridiculous... Placing a waiting period of 12 months on bronchitis which they also link with pneumonia for a 2-year-old child is ridiculous ... With almost every claim it goes to the standards department which provides a waiting period on admissions, so you can be DEAD before even receiving authorization. For 5 days one of our claims is passed on to the standards apartment and still no feedback. The best advice the medical aid can provide is to rake our child to a state hospital... Now my next question remains for what are we paying them every month? And if they have to wait for a payment taking as long as waiting for authorization they suspended your service.
