Self Payment Gap

My baby was born in January 2016. I paid all of his pediatrition and vaccinations out of my own pocket. I did not submit the claims as I already paid for it. I was holding on to it to recduce my self payment gap. Now that our Savings Account is depleted I submitted all the claims. I found out that they paid my husband for the last visit to the pediatrition out of our health wallet. They did not give any other feedback regarding the other claims so I phoned. Just to find out that they will not pay my claims as it is older than 4 months old. Surely they should pay it as I pay my medical Aid until the end of the year. I am very fustrated as I paid over R8000 out of my own pocket. Now I need to pay another R9000 out of my pocket just to get through my Self Payment gap. This is not fair toward the client.
