Scoliosis treatment denied despite effectiveness

2 years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with Scoliosis. After many visits to doctors and surgeons, we were advised that the best way forward for a young girl was to brace.

Discovery paid for the brace and the results have been excellent as the curve and rotation are reducing. Being a teenager, she has grown and requires a bigger brace. This would be her final brace until reaching her risser 5 stage and becoming a fully grown adult. Disocvery now decide that contrary to all the evidence and x-rays pointing towards the effectiveness of bracing for my daughter's back, they will not be paying for the 2nd and final brace. Simply citing some internal change in policy. The precedent was set and surely out of pure principal they would see this procedure out to its close especially since the alternative is very expensive and very dangerous spinal surgery.

We have been Discovery members for 20 years and diamond vitality members for 10 years. Never missed a payment on the exorbitant fees and due to being such a healthy family, hardly use their funds but still get treated like this...

I've checked my emails and your response and no I'm not going to a hearing with a dozen of your lawyers.

Discovery paid for the 1st brace and should therefore pay for the 2nd and final brace.

The brace along with the multiple Biokinetsis sessions I pay for monthly are repairing her scoliosis and the x-rays and doctors reports prove so.

Would your rather she deteriorates and be forced to go for spinal surgery which would then cost Discovery so much more money or would you refuse to pay for that as well?
