Savings account

I am with Discovery for 6 years now and ended my membership with them effective from 1/6/2015. My wife had to be hospitalized and at hospital while phoning for pre admission they told me that I had to pay R2400 for admission. My wife needed a MRI scan and I was told that my savings account was taken away. I had R7200 left and after my letter of ending my membership they took R6500 away. Is this punishments for resigning as member or what. After being with them for 6 years and R5500 per month this is how I am treated. They never even bothered to communicate to me that they will be taking away my savings. How pathetic is this. I will be taking this further to the medical aid complaints board. Poor service shame on you. You are exploiting good and honest people. Making money is the name of your game not servings people in need. As long as you pay there money your good the instance you claim they make you feel like you are in the wrong for claiming. Worst service ever.
