Savage, Rude and Cruel

My fiance thought it would be a great idea to sign up for a medical aid with Discovery Healthcare, I mean they are the best right? Wrong, he unfortunately had to undergo a much needed operation shortly after joining (contrary to accusations from Discovery) we were not aware of this when signing up. We arrived at the hospital, obviously anxious for the operation (this was his first operation ever) only to be told it was unauthorized. After a multitude of calls and speaking with rude staff we were later advised that we are being booted off their health scheme, with all record that we belonged to a medical aid totally wiped from our record but assured of the upside of having funds paid to date refunded. At no point was compassion or kindness shown. I had scheduled a doctor's appointment for myself too which had to be canceled as I was booted off the scheme as a beneficiary too. Our case was dealt with in the most cruel and savage way by people who claim to have your best interest at heart and I am to say the least disgusted. It's time for people to get this insurance house off of the radar because people endure enough trauma through illness and should not have to suffer the wrath of the very people who should offer reprieve. DISCOVERY HEALTHCARE are only interested in your money NOT your health or well being. We now have to start a new medical aid with penalties applicable as they have wiped our records of ever having a medical aid. I will never in my lifetime recommend that anyone I care about sign up with them as I would want the best for the people I care about and Discovery is most certainly the worst I have ever encountered. You will get better service from your Governmental hospital care. And to be frank I cannot fathom this cruelty. I truly hope that none of the shot callers have to endure this shock or trauma but I do believe that you will reap what you sow. Good luck with that!!! #getridofDiscovery
