Ridiculous Claim by a debtist

<p>I have just received a claim notification ,that my dentist has claimed an amount of R800 or so for a procedure that took place on the 13/01/2017.</p> <p> </p> <p>I wanted to removed 3 teeth which were bothering me.That is 1 normal tooth which was rotten and both my wisdom teeth as they are impacted.But the Dr said that the medical aid does not cover the extraction of wisdom teeth,i will have to pay cash for that procedure.According to him,my medical aid only covers for "'normal tooth extraction"'.Seeing as i didnt have the cash,i requested that he remove the one tooth,which he did.The procedure included shots of local anaethesia,the actual removal of the tooth and the gauze to hold the blood.</p> <p>Now my question is,what exactly am i being charged for here,to the point that it comes up to R800,for one tooth extraction??If i had paid cash for the procedure,it would have been R350 for removing one tooth(as per the pricelist at the practice).Now because its claimed from medical aid,the price has gone up R800? how?</p> <p> </p> <p>Please assist,i need answers here.What exactly did this Dr claim for,i do not understand at all.What are the medical aid rates for such?</p> <p> </p> <p>A week before visiting the dentist,i sent aa query on the Discovery site,but i never received an answer up until today.I would really appreciate some feedback on this.</p>
