RESPONSIBLE FOR MONEY I DON'T OWE
Mem No ***<br> My husband passed away Dec 2004. I was covered by Discovery Health Plan Protector for 10 years from 1Jan2005-31Dec2014. Since 1 Jan 2015 Discovery holds me responsible for R2288.88. Up till today all my reasoning and proof letters that I WAS covered for the FULL period do not help. Different reasons:<br> 1) I owe a premium (they explained my late husband's employer did not pay his premium for the month he passed away). Letter I received 30th Jul 2015 from Mmathapelo Molaudi at Discovery that my husband's premium WAS indeed PAID till 31st Dec 2004.<br> 2) E-mail from Lizelle Badat - 3 Aug 2015 explained that \the money owed to Discovery Health is due to services/ consultations that was made in December when your Discovery membership was already placed out of force ..."WITH THAT A LETTER - 30TH JULY 2015 THAT I AM NOW ON A CREDIT BURO!<br> 3) E-mail from Nahda Ariefdien - 12 Aug 2015. \""The amount owing ... is due to claims that were reversed as a result of a backdated withdrawal. The last successful premium was received for the month of November 2014. Therefore the policy was cancelled effective 2014/11/30.\"" I sent proof letter again that I WAS covered till 31 Dec 2014. <br> """

As per our telephonic conversation, I can confirm the following:
All premiums were received on your late husband's membership until 31 December 2004, and no premium is outstanding due on that membership. The money owed to Discovery was as a result of funds not received for the December 2014 premium. This resulted to all claims paid in December reversed. Please also note that because your Medical Savings is given to you in January for the whole year, should membership be withdrawn prior to the 31st of December, we calculate over-expenditure of savings, and that is what is currently due to Discovery Health.
