Required COVID-19 Screening Not Paid by Discovery

Before being allowed to be admitted to hospital for a surgical procedure a compulsory COVID-19 screening had to be done. It astounds me that in this scenario Discovery will not pay the claim . At no point throughout the process was it communicated to me that the screening is not covered by the hospital cover of my medical aid plan. Surely due to it being a prerequisite to admission, it should be covered. Unnecessary and un-budgeted costs in these times are not welcomed!
