Rehabilitation
Good day I worked at Discovery until 2018 and during this period of employment I was forced to be on the medical aid as per the employment contract. In 2013 with their assistance of financial advisors I had told to apply for insolvency instead of being under debt review because of my debt. I was then ask to downgrade to lowest plan and to make my debt low. I have forward the sequestration documents to Discovery member debt department. This was declined as I was an active member. If I was not on employed with Discovery, my medical aid needed to be cancelled. I have since resigned from Discovery as at the end of January 2018 and I have even forwarded the sequestration documents to them and this was declined again and instead I was listed and handed over to ITCBA. I explained to them as well and forward the documents to them as well with no feedback as well. I have attached the sequestration and rehabilitation letter from court. My understanding is that with the rehabilitation is that I get a new start in financial world and fresh start. The only thing holding me back in Discovery health. I disagree with the fact that the active member debt will not be written off if and when they are under sequestration. Surely Discovery is not above the law? Then why have the court approved my sequestration then? Your prompt response will be highly appreciated. Regards Bianca Petersen
