Regret ever joining Discovery

<div>I will always regret ever taking up medical aid with Discovery.. I was on the essential saver plan for R5221 a month, towards end of the year I had financial difficulty and could not pay the premiums. prior to that I had on several times asked to be downgraded but was advised going to a cheaper plan is considered an upgrade and can only do it in the beginning of the year. on termination i was advised I owe the scheme R932 from the savings allocated. (big ***** I say,paid R5221*7=R36547, had savings of R7900 i think, used about R6800*** but i still owed the scheme R932). in April I get a message that I have been listed on the credit bureau and if i make payment the listing can be removed.about a week after that I get a call from collection attorneys about the account, advised them I am aware and would pay month end when I have the funds. I did make the payment and sent proof of payment to Discovery and the attorneys. on my email i request that the adverse listing be removed as I have paid them before i lose any further job opportunities due to the listing. the attorneys respond "Thank you for your email, we have received your payment and the account is paid up. Kindly note that the ITC update will be done by discovery direct.Do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries or concerns." I then send a follow up email to Discovery and I get this response " Good day, Please be advised that your account has been handed over to an external debt collection agency by the name of Shapiro Shaik Defries and associates on the 18.05.2018 You are able to contact them on ********** to make arrangements to settle." so who is supposed to remove the adverse listing on my credit profile? did the person reading my email at Discovery even read it to understand? (Member Debt Administrator, that is) the way it was so easy to list me on the bureau may it be as easy to have me removed before you cause more damage in my life.</div>
