Refusing to pay hospital claim from hospital benefit

On 16 March 2018 I took my daughter to the ER at Constantiaberg Hospital. After seeing the ER doctor she was referred to a surgeon for surgery. The surgeon could not operate until the next morning so we were given the choice of going home or staying overnight - we chose to go home and return at 6am the next morning. Now Discovery are refusing to pay for the ER visit from our hospital benefit because they say that it did not result in admission to hospital. So because we decided not to waste their money on an overnight stay, we are now being penalised and having to pay for the ER ourselves. The logic here is completely flawed!!!
