Refuse to pay a claim

I went to see my GP once on the 22 November and again on the 20 December both for pregnancy related consulations.

Discovery have rejected both claims stating they were rejected as the plan I am on does not cover a GP consultation for pregnancies but rather a Midwife or a Gyne.

I have dealt with Tanya reference number ********** 61 (who promised to come back to me but never did) and Rovona reference number ********** 665 as well as a few others who if you look at my call history will show the reference numbers.

Discovery's brochures clearly state that I have 4 consultations with either a GP, Midwife or Gyne. I have been told that the brochures are incorrect and the claim is for my account. I have on more than one occasion seen it stated in a number of places that my plan covers a GP, Midwife or Gyne.

I have now been told that the problem is in actual fact a system error and that this will take a while to fix.

I am at the point in my pregnancy where I need to see the GP often and cannot see him as there are outstanding bills.

This is a Breach of contract as you are NOT upholding your side. You would be very fast to suspend my denifits if I did not pay but when you dont pay its another story!!!
