Refusal to pay for a needed procedure!!

Congratulations Discovery on ruining my life. I have had heavy and sore periods for almost all of my life. My Dr inserted the mirena that was supposed to help with that and for contraceptive as well. I've had it in for 6 years now. My pain and bleeding was under control for a while and then it started again. This time 10 times worse. I'm in constant pain every day of my life. I'm bleeding most months for 25 days. And not spotting. Heavy bleeding. My dr said it's most probably the mirena and we've decided to take it out and for my husband to get a vasectomy. The dr couldn't get the mirena out as it's lodged high up in my uterus. He tried for over an hour. That was the most unbearable pain I've ever felt. His whole hand was up there. Still he couldn't get it out. He said he must do it in theater. But now discovery declined the procedure because the mirena was for contraceptive. Yes that's part of it. My dr gave a motivation but still they declined it. You don't have any idea what you just did today. Whoever made this decision I hope your wife or daughter never goes through what I've been going through. Let me tell you it's hell. I don't have the money to pay for this. That's why I've been paying my ass off for a medical aid. My question is how can you pay for a male to get a vasectomy but refuse to pay to take my Mirena out? Believe me if the dr could take it out in his rooms he would've done it . I don't just want to go to theater for ****s and giggles. I'm in pain every single day. Hope you feel good about yourself.
