This mail is I intended for the “ Discovery medical “ Review Panel “
Please understand the very clearly . As for 10 working days . Was waisted because sone on your side could under stand the word “review panel “. ( it’s department which have a meeting to look at un usual Medicaid fats and situation’ whey one has to do PMB out hospital application. Then provide sufficient farces and all supporting documents ys. Reason for being so bout is as follow … kindly read r the Offical Complaint regarding in competency at the expensive of having my sight even more harmed. With the list of all the time . Indirect instead of at ying attention and consider a fraction of the cost you have spent d with last 4 eye operation. You are able to assist left w eye eho has had to compestate for over year now for right eye . Which is nearly blind . So let give an example pls I used yesterday Thursday 26 May in1.hour 56 min telephonic conversation . With amazing manager called Sethu! , which first agent Nobula ref *** took my call . ( must pay her compliment for acting Orono and professional.
As I insisted I was red only deal with manger. Nobula put me I touch thurs day 26 May at 4 pm that could speak to Manager Sethu . Which you will find her details under that ref no..
agent and manager both deservers a 9//10 rating for trying drkeasr help. Even altho this still at all at the right department . The reference was for From 4 pm u til 5.56 pm. This was after the posting of the facts mentioned below .
Only to discovery that my application has been sitting at the” WRONG Dept. “ !!! Pmb normal benefits.
It’s obvious ! That it is meant for the attention of the “Medical Review Panel .”
Since 18th until now 2which is 11 th working day and out of the 11 working day.8 of them is lost because it arrived at my normal medical benefit .
Since Friday 13 th until now it has been passed around to 3 different departments
. Unfortunately I have to used word “ OMG !!” Apologies fir that .. word
What since when does review board siit at normally daily out of hospital .
This is a unusual application!! That’s why my doctor send it to PMB_APP_@discovery .co.za
From *** on 13 th May at 8.47 am on my behave . With a Montivasion ! of her latest upto date full medical scans and results of the 28 April2022.
And motivate as a surgeon what the next best treatment for me as a patient who has had 4 eye surgery with 10 moths.
This prom a highly reputable eye surgeon . Not for additional Consultation . Which infact t was done and approved.
But let’s be very clear , crystal clear I’m speaking of the application sent in the 13 th !!!!!
That is for vital essential consideration for cover of full pmt for multi focal glasses ! As this the “ONLY” thing at this stage to support the right eye for a bit of better vision And more than anything else to urgent assist and support the left eye which show signs already of the same problem .
Which accused in right eye . And that alone cost discovery over R 300 000 in 10 months. To date
Should the support not be granted which iss extremely vital !! to prevent the additional break - speedy up of the retinal detachment which will happen at any stage.
Seeing that evidence i of the New Scans conducted by Dr Lara Sandri my new eye surgeon .highlighted the matter of the left eye.
And seeing that the left eye in general is already weaker in general. Compensating for both eyes . Is increasing the very real possibility of a s break that with happen . With any doubt
Hopefully it can be deduced tve snout tears to 1 .
In stead of 3 tears which acccured in right eye all at once last March 2021
Please May I have a senior manager step up and take in my query as it “ totally unacceptable “ the incompetence that accrued . Every day that is further delayed .
Will. Be a higher medical lousy on your side due to staff not performing and acting in a prop permanent. Should by and chance the application be unsuccessful.
Which truly hope will not be the case and can be prevented.
I will willth no doubt refer this matter and all 4 operation. Doctor medical evidence notes etc to the medical Ombudsman for their assistance..
As my surgeon also stated this ecmxteemly ness art a d vital for any for of quality of daily lined . Simply just to beable see . Eve. If it’s km Ted .

During a new batch of several up to date tested ( 4 operations and the 28 April. Full examination and finds were sent with the application for the Medivmcausl reverie. Fir unusual circumstances and cases. Most likely if history is going repeats the ladt 20 kruse in left rumor. And huge amount of hundreds of thousands of rand will be a lost to discovery. Seeing as a preventative solution . By granting the application to cover 8500 re and the cheapest auto attached .
For a logical Bussiness prospective Granting 8500 of essential glasses. For 24/7 estimates vision ( it’s like breath it’s extremely vital) not for cosmetic or reading glass now and again) or paying sone hospital several hundreds of thousands rand again . for multiple ness art surgery . The glasses is and vital as the of cover that discovery automatically granted .for surgery ! . I means just to be able to care where I’m step foot by foot on a daily basis . As I have been wearing multi focal glasses already for pasx15 yrs. g the current ones are totally unsuitable as the y4 yrs old . And I’m medical boarded in end of feb2021 all directly related to all my medical procured over. Last 26 moth s. As was at tascg in my home by 3 men. Plus I costs , dementia level 5 since last year. yet you said 3 to 5 working days and it’s made the 10th working day today I do not actually understand it besides that I have called several times in the last two weeks regarding this matter there is the amount of time that I have spent this is totally mind-boggling.
I queried this with at least 5diffrent call centre agents . Most agents received compliments .as they are not st fault for this error
I followed all the procedures that was requested by doctor wrote a motivational letter motivating is the word motivating the reasons why review panel should consider an exceptional case like mine with see-through all the documents for the last 11 months which has been for operations all the results 100% from several tests including a fifth assessment which was on the 28th of April which was originally done from scratch all that documentation was also added photograph scans everything yet somehow it just gets passed along .
I am actually dumbstruck by what actually happened , because this totally is inexcusable and and unprofessional the least to say.
can This long over due application actually get sorted out .
because the manager Seth’s that I spoke to you today for two hours could clearly see what a huge mistake mistake was done .
As I’m have been affected been affected as it went to 3 different departments been passed along. Why I don’t know … It has been stuck in WRONG Dept since last week Wednesday it’s still at the same department and it shouldn’t even be there to go back to a review department and get a manager actually a " Senior Manager someone that actually knows how do you say something please take note of this complaint because it puts a really bad spotlight this time on Discovery because total incompetenc. One mistake OK. But 3 times Honestly t hat no one picked up on it.
Instead just passes it Round abd hope for the best.
and I’m sorry but this cannot be in anyway be excused for just a mistake I’m very disappointed in this whole matter let’s hope that tomorrow someone will actually wake up and actually do the right thing defected Mr Adrian Gore office on the 19th also intervened on this, ref number plus additional notices were added each tone I called a d inter acted with call came tee agent.

As well 2 quotations of optometrist!!! form was sent at 8.57 am on Friday PMB _APP_@ discovery .co.z ( specifically intented to " reach the Review panel " regarding cover for basic sight!!
After endless queries and follow ups with reference numbers were provided. yet it Was sent to 3 department .
Funny the place it was meant for when it arrived, fist at. sent it along to 2 incorrect other Ones. Can you believe this.
At my Benfenit Department and it’s been stuck for 1 week. now waisted including " 6 full working days. ". And normal it 3-5 working days for this process to be followed
This PMB application is " a special unusual case. "
That why Doctor had to " Motivational letter from my surgeon including all medical records...etc. "
one week and it doesn’t even belong there it belongs at the Review Panel for special consideration.

But if in may stress the utter most urgentl t request. That a a " Senior Manager from the complaints and Review Panel dept ".actually telephoniclly call me by 12cnoon TODAY being Monday 30th May 10.07 am as I had my last 2 hour telephonic.
conversation with " Manager Sethu" on last Wednesday nite 4-6 pm
The call was Trf to her by agent NOBULA 25 th May ref *** .
That would be my last additional notes she left on your system . Infact at end of the call she asked kind enough to mention that she check up by calling me on Thursday at 11am .
To ensure that her manger had acted on my behave .
THAT CALL Never happened !
But she was amazing during the 2 hrs weds night ‘ Manager Sethu uncovered the horrific incompetency( 13 full working days ) waisted !! .
As from start it was mag de very clear it’s for attention of your medical review board for special consideration and approval . .
I think I’ll come into your Sandton office with the nexht 3 hours and speak to the CEO office directly . Because it’s totally unfair that i with extreme serve medical diagnoses( 8) have struggle. By say w” ll investigate does resolve this .
I need a “ closer o and decision letter today . “ !
To see wether is f need be I need start the pt recess with Ombudsman tomorrow morning ASAP. Should you not want me to arrive at Sandton office by 12,noon
I would strongly advised s that a sdd we boot manage in the PMB APP call me . And have asurted me of a closer. approved ot declined . I’m
not going struggle vto even appeal it with Discovery . Seeing t your basic e process to be totally . I’d so floored.

But clearly if any one took the moment to look at the form and a motivator explanation from me eye surgeon .
That would realized is for “ REVIEW Panel “‘a special !!!case medical aid
I making crystal clear as there seems to a problem at call centre when you say the 23 th May . Application . To be told the feedback from a old case dated 10 th May.
