PRICE - RIPOFF

I called in January to cancel my discovery medical aid due to affordability issues ( also asked the agent why if you earn more do you have to pay more than someone who earns less but has the same benefits even though their payment is less than half of yours. The explanation given was the Income band story. Is it my fault i worked for longer ,and now earning more than someone who has worked less than what i have and earning less. Seems as if earning more is a disadvantage with Discovery Key Car Plus. In fact someone can have them self and an adult dependent on their medical aid and will still be less than what i pay for myself as a single member. which i think is ridiculous. 2 people combined paying less than a single person and their cost risk is actual double than mine. I was advised by the consultant the last debit order will be in February 2018. March a debit order was deducted and i called in and was advised to have the charge reversed. Received an sms towards end April advising of a debit order 3 April due to public holidays, and was advised it was bulk sms and to ignore. Debit order Deducted early April. Debit order deducted in April & Called Discovery again ( Call number 4) to be advised agent 1 never noted affordability issue in her notes on the account , but agent 2 &/or 3 did. The debit order was correct because agent 1 and 2 did not give the correct info regarding the debit order date ( not the customers issue but Discovery as the agents are the business representative and supposed to have adequate training. Called to reinstate my medical aid as i have managed to sort out the affordability issue and been advised to pay for February & March and a debit order will be deducted for April as well Even though i did not have cover for March , no i was not an active member for March I still need to pay to have continuous cover. At no point was i advised by the agents of the 30 day / 90 day cover issue. Lack of training / knowledge of staff is not a customers issue. Which leaves me to think that Discovery is just in it for the money . How can you charge someone for something which they never had for a month. Key care Plus Income less than R8550 - PAY R 990 per month : Income between R8551 & R12 200 - PAY R1386 : Income + R12201 - PAY R2064 . HOW DO YOU LOGICALLY JUSTIFY SOMEONE PAYING DOUBLE FOR THE SAME BENEFITS SOMEONE ELSE GETS EQUAL TO YOU.
