Poor Service!

I am not sure how difficult it can really get for Discovery to move a dependent over to her own medical aid plan - the exact same plan just on her own profile.

Two days after I submitted the application (this an application form I received from your consultant after I phoned in specifically asking what the process is) we received a mail stating the broker is missing and cannot process the application. We rep**** and advised we do not need a broker. I do not even have a broker now why would we need one for the member to go on her own profile?

I call today to follow up on the application to be advised there are missing details. Well she then updates the banking details. I proceed to ask if we completed the correct form and she says no. I picked this up as when my dependent joined my plan in 2019 as there were more medical condition questions back then. I actually called Discovery on this too before submitting this new application (got the old form with the medical conditions) added it to the form this latest consultant sent me and now we HAVE TO COMPLETE THIS AGAIN.

I do not understand how it can be so difficult to transfer a dependent who has in fact been a main member for many years with Discovery before as well just to her own profile, same plan, same chronic conditions.

I also get told we must contact Chronic department to find out "IF" they can move the chronic over. I mean really???? Does new business not work with the Chronic Department at all?

If this is such an effort we might as well consider a different medical aid.
