POOR SERVICE AND NO INTEREST DISCOVERY HEALTH

I am so disappointed with the service and availability of Discovery Health. My Hypertension medication was changed by Medxpress due to an apparent out of stock situation on the meds that I normally use. This was basically done in a manner where I had not option but to take the medication they wanted me to take. The new medicine has been having a negative affect on me. I had to see my doctor in order to motivate that I could go back to my old medicine. This was all done and the new medicine was approved by Discovery, only for me to still have no option to order the new medicine from Medxpress. I managed to speak to a consultant yesterday who asked me to send through the motivation again, together with a script for my medicine. Needless to say, I have been spending a lot of unnecessary money without any outcome for my problem. To get hold of Discovery telephonically is a mission. The ***number available to contact them is not a toll free option from a cell phone and is costing a fortune, due to so many options and information you have to listen to before you can actually get through to a consultant to assist. Other than that, you hold on without getting a response, until all your airtime is used up. I requested the relevant information from the doctor again yesterday, together with a new script. Sent through the information last night, together with a request for them to urgently address this issue and sort it out. In the meantime I am having terrible headaches and not feeling well because of the medication I am basically forced to use at this stage. I have no other way to get the correct medicine. What should I do? I am feeling helpless and am really getting the message that there is not interest in my health and well being from my medical aid's side. How many people out there are experiencing the same difficulty? I sincerely hope that I will get a response from Discovery after placing this review.
