Poor Service

I went to see my Gynae for annual check-up beginning of this year and was told I had to pay R2200 cash as the doctor has pulled out of all medical aids due to non-payment. I had no issues as I was prepared to claimed it back from the medical aid. Discovery has now decided to reject my claim and prepared to pay half of the amount. The consultant, Andile Mthombeni informed me that it was my duty as client to call the medical aid beginning of each year to find out if my doctor was still under the network. I remember the doctor used to claim R1600 in 2016 and it seems now that Discovery is prepared to pay even less than that amount whereas the is annual increase on premiums.
