Poor, poor treatment of clients

Hi,

I am really disappointed in how you force your staff members to be paying a large portion of their salaries to your medical scheme and not even bother to respond to them. The way you treat us is appalling to say the least. I have had this medical aid for more than 2 years and my dependent has never gotten hospitalized except for this ONE time. I am talking about my dearest mom. She had a fall and got her shoulder dislocated. You did not pay a cent to cover this. What happens to the R4,000 I pay monthly. I have app**** for PMB cover and guess what, no response. I have called numerously and got that ‘They cannot disclose confidential information about my mother to me’. I do not care about confidential information. I need money paid out. My mother cannot read or write or hear english. How do you expect her to contact you or read your emails, or even have an email address. But monthly, I pay R2000 and there is nothing ‘confidential’ about taking my money for her cover. I have debt collectors from doctors and hospital calling me day and night for their money which I cannot afford to pay. My mother still has to go for physiotherapy which I cannot afford. You are not just denying payment for my mother’s shoulder reduction and related treatment, you are ruining my credit record.

Treatment for dislocated shoulder qualifies as a PMB, why you refuse to pay out for this treatment is beyond me and yet you keep collecting my money. How many more forms and emails must I send; and for what if I am not worth your response, I am just a number in your list from which you faithfully collect money?

I can’t afford to pay R4,000 for medical aid and pay another R4,000 for monthly physiotherapy for my mother, oh the orthopedic doctor has to be paid too, and all the x-rays that go with these. I CANNOT. If this is how you keep your rich richer and destroy the life of a poor woman trying to do the best they can to help her disadvantaged parents you are doing a the best job, you should get an accolade.
