Poor Medical Aid

To whom it may concern<br> <br> I am trying to book my twins in to have their adenoids removed and have grommets put in. Only to be informed this morning by Discovery (our bright shining medical aid) that we have to pay a co paymment of almost R5 000.00 for the two of them to have the operation done.<br> <br> This operation needs to be done as per the ENT. I fail to understand what we are paying a medical aid for, this is an in hospital procedure which should be covered in full. Under no certain terms am I prepared to pay R5 000.00 to the hospital when Discovery will pay the balance, I may as well go to a private clinic and pay cash for the full procedure. <br> <br> We have constantly been hearing what a poor and terrible medical aid Discovery is and I always seem to turn my head, but I can now agree with people who say the same.<br> <br> I spoke to Natasha Warni in your call centre who transferred me to her supervisor in which he advised me that he would educate me on my plan and proceeded to ask me if I ever read the booklet I received yearly!!!!!! Mr Attini Hini himself, who is rude and disrespectful. The little 40 page booklet we receive never makes any sense anyway and you normally get *****ed either way
