POOR administration and excuses!

On the 13th of December 2106 I submitted a claim from a Cardiologist. To date (20 January 2017) this claim has not been paid, even though the Discovery app states that is had been paid.

In my E-mail when I submitted the claim, I detailed my new banking details, but these clowns just decide not to pay me and wait for the customer to query as to why they did not pay. It turns out there is a very inconvenient and lengthy process to follow if your banking details for the payment of claims have changed (no problem to change banking details for the debit order - funny that!) and so eventually I passed the inconvenience of changing my banking details for payment of claims.

I received an E-mail on the 10th of January that my new banking details have been "accepted" but to date (20 January - almost 6 weeks since the submission of the claim) - STILL NO PAYMENT!!!

Once again after wasting almost an hour of my life on the phone, I still don't have a concrete reason as to why the claim has not been paid.

If it was not for the fact that our employer made it mandatory for us to be Discoverty members, I would DEFINATELY have moved on to better (and cheaper) medical aid. SHAME ON YOU DISCOVERY!!!
